Portugal international midfielder Joao Mario made a strong impression on West Ham fans during his loan spell from Inter Milan in the second half of last season.

After proving what he could do in the Premier League, the flying winger is reportedly the subject of a three-way transfer tussle between the Hammers, their London rivals Tottenham and newly-promoted Wolves.

The Euro 2016 winner is valued at £20.7m by Transfermarkt but Wolves' best hope of securing his services reportedly lies in another temporary deal.

However, that agreement would reportedly need to include an pre-arranged transfer fee which would see the move made permanent ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
