According to The Daily Mail, Wolves are interested in signing Newcastle's flamboyant forward Allan Saint-Maximin.

The Magpies only signed the Frenchman back in the summer, agreeing a deal worth £16.5m with Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice for his signature.

Since then, the 22-year-old has been in electric form, dazzling Premier League opposition with his tricks and dribbling ability.

How has he done?

Well, while his end product has been somewhat lacking with only one goal and one assist to his name in the Premier League, the Newcastle No.10 has still been an eye-catching performer.

Saint-Maximin, who is valued at £22.5m on Transfermarkt, completes a massive 4.6 dribbles per game - only Wilfried Zaha and Adama Traore embark on more successful dribbles with 4.7 and 5.2 respectively.

The former OGC Nice attacker also registers a respectable 1.3 key passes per game - world-class players such as Heung-min Son and Bernardo Silva average 1.4 per game, by comparison.

Newcastle are the Premier League's joint-lowest scorers this season, so perhaps his teammates' lack of efficiency in front of goal is harming his chances of an improved amount of assists.

Him & Traore would make Wolves too hot to handle

Saint-Maximin alone is a player worthy of an opposition manager's pre-match presentation, such is his ability to cause chaos and run rings around players, dragging them out of position.

Another man who can do such a thing to the opponent is Traore, a player who - as aforesaid - records the most dribbles out of every player in the Premier League with 5.2 per game.

The Spaniard alone is wreaking havoc in England's top-flight this term with four goals and seven assists to his name too, so if he was partnered by Saint-Maximin at Molineux, one imagines that Nuno Espirito Santo's side would be too hot to handle.

It would mean the Midlands-based side have two of the Premier League's top three dribblers - if the opposition had a plan to double or triple up on Traore, they'd have another mesmeric man to worry about in Saint-Maximin, handing Nuno another dimension in the process.
