Wolves don't particularly need to strengthen in midfield but when offered the chance to sign Morgan Sanson, they'd be foolish to turn it down.

According to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol they've been given the opportunity to sign the player by Marseille but his signature may not be easy to obtain.

Also in the running are West Ham whilst Newcastle have also been offered the Frenchman per Solhekol.

The creative midfielder is strong in both attacking and defensive phases of play, finding himself in the goals regularly throughout his career.

Last term he found the back of the net five times whilst also adding three assists for the Ligue 1 outfit.

The 24-year-old has experience of playing in Europe which could be extremely beneficial as Nuno Santo's side enter the Europa League in 2019/20.

But considering they have the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker in their ranks, should they now lodge a bid after being offered him? Football FanCast writers have had their say.

Luke Glanville:

"If Wolverhampton Wanderers have been offered the chance to sign Morgan Sanson than they should without doubt lodge a bid. Nuno Espirito Santo has the ability as a manager to turn the Marseille man into an out-and-out central attacking midfielder. Aside from youngster Morgan Gibbs-White, the Black Country side don't really have any options in this area. Sanson would be able to provide an attacking duo of Raul Jimenez and Diego Jota for example with fantastic support through the middle."

Charles Jones:

"The arrival of Morgan Sanson at Molineux would improve the squad in my opinion. This is a player who has appeared in a Europa League final, and with the Midlands club embarking on a European campaign next term they need more depth and more experience. The arrival of Sanson would add both of those things."

Is it unrealistic to expect another top half finish from Wolves next season? HRH discusses in the video below...

Billy Meyers:

"We've seen just how badly European football can affect a club outside the top six after Burnley's collapse last season, and with Wolves competing in it next term, they will need all the bodies in that they can. Additionally, West Ham may well be prepared to push them for their Europa League spot next term and they have also been linked with Sanson, so Wolves should do this deal to stop a direct rival strengthening".
