Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Leonardo Campana from Barcelona SC, with the prodigious striker signing a three-and-a-half-year deal with the club.

The transfer has seen the talented 6 ft 2 youngster move to England with every hope of establishing himself on the European stage, but very little is known about his talent.

With that in mind, we've rounded up a handful of snippets from across the media to try and understand a little bit more about the new recruit.

Let's find out what Wolves fans can expect from him...

World Football Index

Prior to the 2019 U20 World Cup In Poland, World Football Index compiled a list of players that could potentially be of interest for the general public and, of course, Campana was one of the players highlighted.

Apart from stating that he's a great goalscorer, World Football Index also emphasise that the 19-year-old likes to drop deeper to assist the build-up of his team, and they already tipped him for a big move abroad.

Here's what they said in the report:

"Top scorer at the 2019 South American U-20 Championships, the striker is part of a promising generation of Ecuadorian footballers and has already been capped twice by the senior side, despite being just 18-years-old.

"He’s a tall left-footed forward who likes to drop deep and link the play before moving up the field to get on the end of moves in the box. Still playing his football in Ecuador for Barcelona, but is likely to make a move this summer."

Taste of Football

Taste of Football have done a whole scout report on the teenage centre-forward, analysing his best traits and showcasing them through some of his best footage.

They call him a "dominant physical presence" but also say that he's more than just a poacher as he can boast a vast array of other abilities as well.

Here's what they've highlighted in their analysis:

"At 6ft 2, the Ecuador international has the height to be an aerial threat and is a dominant physical presence. That’s what you would expect with a player of his build. However, he also has a decent turn of pace, coupled with good footwork. The perfect physical characteristics for a striker.

"But technically too, Campana looks to be an intelligent player. Then from there, the South American U20 Championship top scorer is an excellent finisher. The calmness he shows in the box when facing the keeper is not what you expect from a 19-year-old. The quality of the finishes too, it all points towards a talented goal scorer that has that instinct in the box. 6 goals in 9 games in the tournament for Ecuador U20s is a testament to this.

"Alongside his ability to be a poacher, Campana also shows the creative and skilful side to his game. This highlights his versatility to play both as a poacher or a playmaker, adding significant value to an attack."

Federico Pena, Campana's agent

Finally, one of the people who has praised the player greatly is Campana's agent Federico Pena.

And he probably paid him the biggest compliment of all, comparing him to none other than the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

But not only that, he also stated that Campana is a highly-disciplined athlete whose head is not in the clouds, which could be important for his development.

Here's what he said to Calcio Napoli (via Tribal Football):

"This is not a South American teenager distracted by parties or nightlife, but a highly-disciplined athlete who had a top level education. His father is a former tennis pro who participated in the Olympics, so he comes from good stock.

"He is a centre-forward, very tally and two-footed, there really is no difference between when he kicks with his left or his right. Despite being tall, he is not a static striker, but someone I'd compare – with all due respect and proportion – to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"I mean to describe that he's big, but not clumsy or static. He is ready for Europe and would have a preference for Italy, but we'll see…"
