Wolverhampton Wanderers should revive their interest in AC Milan forward Andre Silva.

What's the word?

The newly-promoted Premier League club have been linked with the Portugal international before.

Now that they will be competing against the likes of Manchester City,  Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal, they need talented players that can cope with the demand.

There could end up being a scramble for Silva's signature following a recent report by Calciomercato.

The Italian publication claims that Milan are prepared to offload the forward on loan, but are unwilling to sell.

It is believed that Arsenal and Monaco are interested in cutting a deal, but Wolves should use their link to Jorge Mendes to nudge ahead in the race.

Do Wolves have enough sway?

The club have worked with football agent Mendes on plenty of transfer deals and clearly have a good relationship with the Portuguese man.

Mendes is currently Silva's representative, so it is likely that he would have some influence over the footballer with regards to his next destination.

From the player's point of view, he will have an opportunity to play in the Premier League.

Also, he is likely to gain regular game time, but the risk is that he struggled at Milan last season, scoring just twice in Serie A.

However, that risk is limited slightly due to the fact that Wolves will not be shelving out tons of cash to get a deal done.
