Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed their first piece of transfer activity this month after Ivan Cavaleiro departed on a permanent transfer.

The 26-year-old has joined Championship outfit Fulham for £15m following a successful loan spell, which began in the summer.

Cavaleiro has scored five goals and provided six assists in 25 league outings this term, per Transfermarkt.

The Athletic's Tim Spiers broke the news on Twitter, subsequently resulting in several supporters offering their thoughts.

Many were torn about the departure while others simply wished the winger well...

One supporter said he was now going to cry upon hearing the news while another brandished it as 'good business.'

The Portuguese native was also praised for his impact at the club having been part of their remarkable revival - he initially joined the Midlanders in 2016 in a £7m deal from Monaco and was part of the side that won the Championship title.

During that season he managed to rack up nine goals and 12 assists, so his influence was undoubtedly crucial to their triumph.

Now that the club have made a hefty profit on the new Cottagers ace, many fans would like to see the club reinvest the money this month...

While the lure of finances wasn't enough for other members of the Molineux faithful to get behind as they believe Cavaleiro could have offered the team plenty this season.

One man believed he would have been a better option than Patrick Cutrone while another wished Nuno Santo could call upon him when he needed to change it up in attack.
