Wolverhampton Wanderers needed late heroics from striker Raul Jimenez to secure all three points in their Europa League Group K tie with Slovan Bratislava at Molineux on Thursday night.

The result surely means Nuno Santo's side have one foot in the next round as they have opened up a five-point cushion over their Slovakian opponents who occupy that third position.

Ruben Neves had missed a penalty early in the second half, but the Mexican number nine popped up with the winner in the second minute of injury time to hand the west Midlands club a victory.

Despite all of the positives, several members of the old gold faithful have taken fire at one member of the starting line up as they believe winger Pedro Neto was far from impressive in attack.

One supporter claimed he would have rather had Ivan Cavaleiro playing, which appeared to be a recurring theme amongst some despite the 26-year-old being on loan at Championship outfit Fulham this season.

Another fan described the Portuguese attacker as 'ineffective' while a further member of the Molineux crowd believed he was three planets away from being a replacement for the suspended Diego Jota.
