According to Italian site Tuttomercatoweb, Wolves have tabled a bid of £18m for centre-back Yerry Mina.
The 23-year-old Barcelona defender only joined the Catalan side in January from Palmeiras, but failed to displace Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique at the back, making just five La Liga appearances.
Mina did however impress at this summer’s World Cup for his national side Colombia. The 6ft 4in powerhouse scored three headed goals, including a last minute equaliser against England to catch the eye of a number of Premier League clubs.
According to Sky Sports, Everton are also interested in the defender and hope to bring him to Goodison Park alongside his current teammate Lucas Digne.
Having already completed the signing of 6ft 3in former loanee Willy Boly though, adding Mina to Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves side would see them become one of the most dangerous in the division from set-pieces.
Fans of the West Midlands club on Twitter have been expressing their excitement about the links. Check out some of their best tweets here.
Yerry Mina -> if Wolves can have a deal in place for a permenant buy of Jimenez for €37m next year, I’m pretty sure we can stretch to the €40m Barca want for Mina. Huge potential. Hope we go for it but persuading him will be another matter entirely #wwfc @Wolves

If #wwfc sign Mina then someone will have to wheelchair me to the ground against Everton for two reasons. Drinking like an absolute lunatic and the shock of the calibre of players we're about to see at the Molineux pic.twitter.com/LGiq27gnfY
