The newly-promoted Midlands outfit have made a bright start to life back in the top flight and currently sit in seventh place with four wins and just one defeat after eight games played.

In September alone, Nuno’s side racked up three wins, one draw and kept three clean sheets, largely thanks to a series of heroic performances between the sticks by summer signing Rui Patricio.

Having cruised to the Championship title last season whilst playing scintillating football and spent big during the summer transfer window, the pressure was on Wolves to live up to their reputation in the Premier League. So far they have exceeded all expectations.

Whilst Arsenal’s manager Unai Emery and Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola may have been worthy recipients of the award themselves, Nuno deserves his prize. So far, life in the Premier League has been a breeze at Molineux.
