Wolves fans blast Jesus Vallejo after poor performance against Chelsea

Premiership Picks

Wolves’ poor run in the Premier League this season continued as they were defeated 5-2 by Chelsea at Molineux on Saturday afternoon.

Portuguese boss Nuno Santo made four changes to his side following the international break, one of which was forced after Willy Boly’s sending off at Everton just two weeks ago.

In the imposing centre-back’s place was Jesus Vallejo, on loan from Real Madrid, making his league debut and it certainly didn’t go to plan as the defence leaked five goals, including a hat-trick from Tammy Abraham.

The Spaniard featured in their last three Europa League games as part of a run of six straight wins which secured a spot in the group stages of the competition.

However, his first Premier League appearance has left several Wolves supporters heavily criticising him.

One asked the club to send the 22-year-old back to Real Madrid, while another added that he was “awful.”

“Poor” and “terrible” were just some of the other words used to describe Vallejo’s performance with one member of the Molineux faithful hoping they would see Ryan Bennett back later this week.
