Wolverhampton Wanderers are high-flying this season. Yes, once again.

Nuno Santo's side continues to stick to their guns. Small tight-knit squad. Same systems. And it's clearly paying dividends as they are wholly dispelling any chatter about the negatives a Europa League campaign can bring.

The west Midlanders have advanced into the knockout stages with a dead-rubber tie to spare while in the Premier League they occupy sixth place, one better than last season's historic run.

With January now less than a month away, the rumour mill is in full flow as the club embark into a new decade looking one million times stronger than they did ten years ago.

Nuno himself has revealed that they have intentions to strengthen the playing squad in January, but will there be any departures?

Over the weekend, Italian news outlet La Repubblica (via Sport Witness) claimed that Bologna would look to sign Patrick Cutrone if their pursuit of Zlatan Ibrahimovic falls through as they look to bolster their frontline this season.

This has left fans at Molineux debating whether or not it should, or even will, happen.

Some want to see him stay at the club...

Cutrone has struggled for game time so far this season with him very much second-choice to Raul Jimenez, but he's managed to score two goals in the Premier League despite only starting three matches from 11, per Transfermarkt.

Others appear to be in favour of letting the 21-year-old depart the club so soon. He joined the club from AC Milan this summer and is valued at £18m by Transfermarkt.

While many more want to see the Italian forward handed given more time to succeed in the west Midlands.

Given the sheer volume of fixtures Wolves will encounter over the next few months - FA Cup comes into action in January, on top of their Europa League and Premier League campaigns, it is likely that Cutrone will receive more opportunity in the near future.

It remains to be seen whether Wolves would budge on any offer in January, even if it's a temporary switch, but it seems rather unlikely as Cutrone is just one of two senior strikers at the club.
