Wolves fans on Twitter buzzing about club activating Adama Traore’s release clause

Having already made nine signings so far this summer, Wolves are set to sign Adama Traore from Middlesbrough for £18m after activating his release clause, The Sun reports.

The 22-year-old winger is known for his blistering pace on the ball which helps him go past defenders with ease, although he has been often criticised for what many see as a lack of end product.

Despite this, the La Masia graduate netted five goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions last season for Boro, where he has now spent two seasons after joining from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is rebuilding his squad after they stormed the Championship last season, racking up a total of 99 points and gaining promotion back to the Premier League. If Traore was to come in, it could spell the end of Ivan Cavaleiro’s time at Molineux.

The Portuguese winger has been linked with a move to fellow Prem new boys Fulham, with TEAMtalk reporting that a £16m bid is imminent.
