Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Athletic's club correspondent Tim Spiers uploaded a January transfer report, outlining what should be expected from the Midlands-based club this month.

Spiers details in his tweet - which has the article embedded - the four main points that Wolves fans should know ahead of this transfer window.

The first of which states that discussions for RB Salzburg forward Hwang Hee-chan are 'ongoing' - Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell watched the South Korean play against Liverpool earlier this month, with Wolves keen on a deal although they may have to wait until the summer.

Meanwhile, Spiers states that a more likely addition is Ecuador striker Leonardo Campana, who plays for Barcelona SC in his homeland - the 19-year-old has four goals and three assists in 21 appearances for the club.

Additionally, it is also noted that Patrick Cutrone - who these Wolves fans thought was gone after Nuno made a late change to his bench against Liverpool - will not be leaving Molineux unless a replacement is found for the Italy international.

Lastly, Spiers' bullet points come to an end with the news that Willy Boly's return and the form of Leander Dendoncker, Max Kilman and Roman Saiss make a new addition at centre-back 'unlikely'.

Let's see how the Wolves fans on Twitter reacted to this update...

This fan said that Spiers' update doesn't sound too promising, before revealing that they think one attacker will leave with another coming in.

Elsewhere, this supporter named Paul said that it feels like Wolves' recruitment has "gone back to the Moxey days" - making reference to the club's time in the hands of Jez Moxey, who left in 2016.

Meanwhile, Stuart asked "Campana?" before questioning if the Ecuadorian would be "another Bonatini" - this fan also thinks that Hee-chan from RB Salzburg would be a better addition than the teenager.

Whose Line Is It Anyway: Michael Owen, Garth Crooks or Mark Lawrenson?

Lastly, these three supporters all don't seem too happy with The Athletic's update on Wolves' January window.

One fan said that Spiers' update ruined their day, while another named James one-upped that in saying that the news has "ruined my New Year".
