Wolves return to Premier League action on Friday night as they host local rivals Leicester City at Molineux to kickstart the final third of the season following a short winter break.
And during the time off, plenty of fans have been discussing the form of their winger Diogo Jota after his recent return from injury.
The 23-year-old has endured an indifferent campaign so far. In the Premier League, he has only managed to score three times in 21 appearances, but in the Europa League, he has been a completely different animal, scoring six goals and providing five assists in just ten matches, per Transfermarkt.
This has been noted in a joking manner by one supporter on social media, who tweeted this image…

Meanwhile, other fans have been throwing out a range of choice words to describe his performances this season. Here’s what they have had to say…
way too inconsistent https://t.co/KCJ81QDtyK

Below his best

Brilliant nothing more to say

Poor needs to get back to keeping it simple and pass more

Shacky start but proving he is one of our top performers next to traore and Jimenez

Hot & cold but the most exciting player we have.

Can’t deny his pace and ball control have been fantastic, but he is clearly easily rattled this year and it doesn’t seem to take much for him to start being a little petulant. Been saying most the season that this could cost us at some point.

“Too inconsistent” and “below his best” were two reviews on the negative side, but on the contrary, Jota did still receive glowing plaudits, he was labelled “exciting” as well as being one of the team’s top performers.
The Portuguese winger is currently valued at £31.5m by Transfermarkt, and his record in the old gold colours is pretty impressive having netted 37 goals and provided 18 assists in 114 appearances, so maybe his recent form is merely a small blip.
And these supporters seem to know how he can turn his own fortunes around…
Reckon if he gets a goal or two he’ll be off again like last season. https://t.co/Q6Zgr7nVk7

No end product, 5/10 at best
— MW (@Matman050988) February 11, 2020
Brilliant player but his end product needs serious work

Not as profilic scoring as last season but still a threat. Hattrick v Besiktas says that.
Running down the wing Jota
Hear the Wanderers sing Jota

His lack of end product and need to grab a goal or two was clearly highlighted by a number of fans.
While in other news, Wolves could revisit this UPGRADE to Leander Dendoncker this summer…
