Wolves are set to make their first signing of the transfer window on Monday and fans have been reacting to the news on social media.

According to a report from EFE, Barcelona SC striker Leonardo Campana is to join the club next week.

The 19-year-old won't be available until February though as he will travel to Colombia to participate in the pre-Olympic Championship for his nation, Ecuador.

He is expected to sign a contract between four and five years and is a client of the familiar super-agent Jorge Mendes.

The Athletic's Tim Spiers relayed this latest transfer update on Twitter and supporters have been responding in their numbers.

Some are rather pleased that a signing is about to be made...

One member of the old gold faithful suggested that he could compete in Nuno Santo's first-team squad while another lauded the move for being a 'low cost' replacement for Patrick Cutrone.

However, several others felt quite angry about Campana joining the club...

'Not good enough,' 'who cares' and 'underwhelming' were three phrases used to describe the news.

One fan even suggested that Nuno could walk at this rate, pondering whether the board are too scared to spend after not investing in further additions back in the summer.

It has also led to comparisons to Wolves' past and present players, including Rafa Mir, who has joined Huesca on an 18-month loan deal and an array of players that the club have sold in recent times.

While some wished for more - one supporter asked to sign Jarrod Bowen next while another said he would have rather gone for Watford's Andre Gray as the Ecuadorian striker doesn't have enough experience and isn't prolific.
