Wolves chances of another campaign in Europe have been bolstered as they moved to within three points of the top four in the Premier League.
Nuno Santo’s side came out on top in a five-goal thriller at Spurs thanks to Raul Jimenez’s 73rd-minute winner.
And former England striker turned presenter Gary Lineker was full of praise for the west Midlands outfit. He even made a light-hearted joke about the number of matches they have had to endure this campaign.

Wolves’ competitive season began before any other team in the top-flight as they had to go through a gruelling qualification campaign to make the Europa League group stages, now they are in the last 16 of the competition.
That’s on top of still contending to better last season’s league exploits too.
The Molineux-based side only won the Championship in 2018, but are now they are more than holding their own against the current Champions League runners-up, which is indicative of how far they have come in such a short space of time.
Wolves are even still challenging on all fronts despite a lack of major squad depth, which is epitomised by the fact that they only have one senior striker at their disposal – the goalscorer.
