Wolverhampton Wanderers’ quest to break into the top six was bolstered over the weekend as they thumped Norwich City 3-0 at Molineux.
The west Midlanders are just two points from fifth-placed Manchester United with 11 games to go whilst they are still in the Europa League knockout stages as they hold a 4-0 advantage over La Liga strugglers Espanyol.
Following their performance on Sunday afternoon, BBC pundit Alan Shearer has named two Wolves players in his Team of the Week – midfielder-turned-defender Romain Saiss and Diogo Jota.
He uploaded the XI to Instagram on Tuesday:
The former Premier League great would struggle to find two more deserving players from the Old Gold.
Jota bagged a brace just a couple of days after netting a hat-trick in Europe, whilst he also recorded two key passes, one successful dribble and won five of his six duels against the Canaries, per SofaScore.
While Saiss had four clearances, two tackles, two interceptions and won 100% of his aerial duels, via the same source.
