Wolves may have not been in action this weekend, but the rumour mill has been ringing around Molineux as manager Nuno Santo desperately tries to bolster his squad.

One player linked with a move to the west Midlands is Olympiacos winger Daniel Podence after Portuguese news outlet O Jogo reported they were 'closing in' on signing him for €30m (£25.2m).

While the same source, via Sport Witness, claimed the 24-year-old was in England to complete a medical, but that doesn't appear to be the case after he was spotted in Greece prior to Olympiacos' game with AEK Athens...

The Greek side posted this photo on Instagram prior to their 0-0 draw, in which fellow target Nelson Oliveira featured in. Podence was not named in the matchday squad despite being at the game.

It appears as if this saga is going to rumble on with Friday's deadline quickly looming on Wolves.

Podence would be a welcome addition at Molineux as he would add much-needed depth to a frontline severely lacking in quality outside of the starting XI.

The Portuguese winger has scored five goals and provided five assists for the Superleague side this campaign, per Transfermarkt, and is likely to provide healthy competition to Adama Traore at right-wing should a deal go through this week.
