It has been a bit of a ‘Jekyl & Hyde’ season from Tottenham Hotspur so far, with fans never really knowing if they’ve turned a corner or which Emmanuel Adebayor will turn up (if at all) or who the hell Ryan Mason is?!
Spurs’ problems have tended to come in the final third, with Roberto Soldado’s recent winner against Everton ending a goal drought of almost 600 minutes for the Spanish international – that was only Soldado’s seventh Premier League goal despite his big money move from Valencia last summer.
Tottenham have had to rely on Englishman Harry Kane to lead the line, chase lost causes and to find the back of the net regularly, something which is highly embarrassing for a club that spent over £100million last summer.
After failing to find a way past Thibaut Courtois on Wednesday night, it may well be worth Pochettino to ditch the tactics board and dust off his football boots following this pearler in training.
