Simone Zaza has struggled to make an impact in English football so far but the Italian has no intention to leave, stating doing so would be a ‘personal failure’.
Having arrived on-loan from Juventus in the summer, the 25-year-old has struggled to become the leading light the Hammers have been looking for in their attack and has gone 432 minutes without a goal for his new side.
With a permanent deal on the cards if Zaza makes 14 appearances this season, speculation on the Italian’s future has been rife but Football Italia quotes the striker as refusing to give-up.
“Napoli are a great team and I have already been fortunate enough to play for Juventus, so I am proud of that, but I am focused on breaking my duck and playing well. West Ham are my current club and it would be a personal failure if I was to leave now,”
Links to Napoli arose after comments from Zaza’s agent and West Ham fans will hope the speculation sparks the striker into form, with the Hammers really needing to kickstart their season after a woeful start.
