It may still be early days in Michael Beale's tenure at Glasgow Rangers, although the indications are that his time at the helm at Ibrox certainly won't be dull, with the 42-year-old having seen his side claim successive 3-2 comeback victories in the Premiership in his first two games in charge.

After twice coming from behind to claim all three points at home to Hibernian last week, the Light Blues again showcased impressive mental strength to overcome Aberdeen on Tuesday night, having rescued victory from the jaws of defeat.

Rangers had got off to the best possible start at Pittodrie as Fashion Sakala netted for the second game running to fire his team ahead, only for opposition striker Duk to lash home a delightful free-kick just before half-time to restore parity.

The hosts then completed a remarkable turnaround as on-loan Liverpool gem Leighton Clarkson fired in a fierce, dipping effort from distance just after the interval, with it looking as if the Glasgow giants would be heading for their third league defeat of the season.

Then, somewhat miraculously, up stepped substitute Scott Arfield to alter that narrative as the former Canada international netted a clinical brace in the last knockings of added time to seal the win, with Dons manager Jim Goodwin enduring a sense of deja vu, having seen his side slip up late on at the weekend at home to league leaders Celtic.

While it will unsurprisingly be Arfield who steals the headlines for that stunning impact off the bench, much of the credit must also go to team-mate Malik Tillman, with the USA international having proven integral to that late Rangers rescue act.

The 20-year-old proved the difference-maker at the death after playing his part in the winning goal, having shown great determination and trickery down the right flank to make space for himself, before dinking a delicate ball into the box which eventually found its way to his veteran team-mate.

The fleet-footed starlet also caught the eye as a result of his all-round performance, having notably recorded two key passes from his 52 touches, while also completing three of his four dribbles on the night.

Although the promising gem - who joined the Light Blues on loan from Bayern Munich in the summer - did lose possession 18 times, he atoned for that wastefulness by winning ten of his 15 duels, having relished the battle in the middle of the park.

Just days after his starring role in the win over Hibs - in which the youngster recorded two assists - Tillman again showcased that he can be the man to make the difference when it matters, with journalist Joshua Barrie describing him as a player who is "capable of moments".

Such 'moments' have arguably been vital in helping Beale to enjoy a winning start in the Rangers dugout, and it looks as if the four-cap American could well be a leading figure under the new manager moving forward.
