As well as the disappointment of dropping points on Saturday, Rangers were also struck with an injury scare after on-loan debutant Amad Diallo was forced off the pitch in the second half after receiving medical treatment, having earlier opened the scoring for his team.

However, it seems as though the Gers fans can breathe easier about the 19-year-old's situation for the time being.

What's the latest?

Speaking after the match against Ross County on Saturday afternoon, Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst gave an update on Diallo and his suspected injury. The Dutchman said: "He’s got the talent but we had to take him off because he didn’t have the rhythm like other players have."

In a report from Metro which relayed these comments from Van Bronckhorst, they claim that Rangers will hope to have the Ivorian available when they take on Celtic on Wednesday night.

This suggests that the injury issue may not have been as serious as first feared, given how the manager said it was more to do with how Diallo was playing beforehand rather than the injury. Also, if they are hopeful of having him fit for the midweek Old Firm derby, the setback cannot be all that severe.

Having scored just a few minutes into his first game for the Gers, and having been one of the team's best players on Saturday, it's safe to say that fans will be buzzing to hear that the 19-year-old's injury may not be a serious one, and that could be back to play in the upcoming derby.

If the winger is able to regain his fitness in time for the next match and also start to get into the same rhythm as the rest of the players at Ibrox, as Van Bronckhorst mentioned after their latest match, that will surely be a big boost for the Gers in their hunt to retain the league title, especially if they can secure a win against their nearest rivals in midweek.
