Glasgow Rangers take on Ross County this evening in what is the Ibrox side's final match before Christmas.

Michael Beale has led the Light Blues to two narrow victories over Hibernian and Aberdeen, and despite the team showing character to come back from a 2-1 deficit in both matches, a routine win tonight would be welcome.

Beale claimed that he would be freshening things up ahead of the match this evening and with 10-11 players missing, it is important that the starting XI that takes to the pitch in Dingwall are ready for action.

With plenty of rotation, we at Football FanCast predict the Rangers side that will face Ross County in the Highlands…

Allan McGregor will keep his place in goal having started the two previous matches under Beale, however, four goals conceded in just two games hasn’t filled the Ibrox faithful with much joy.

James Tavernier and Adam Devine will retain their spots at right and left back respectively for the third game on the bounce, while Connor Goldson will be partnered with Ben Davies as Beale looks to find his best defensive duo. This means James Sands – who was dubbed a “problem” by Mark Hateley – will drop the to bench as the seven-cap USA international was poor against Aberdeen, losing possession nine times in just 58 minutes.

Glen Kamara and John Lundstram will form the midfield axis, with Ryan Jack dropping to the bench in order to give him a rest ahead of a busy run of matches during the festive period.

Scott Wright will replace Fashion Sakala on the right wing, with the £5.6k-per-week winger previously being described as “impressive” by Mark McDougall and he deserves to make his first start under Beale. Scott Arfield – fresh from scoring two late goals against Aberdeen – will take the place of Malik Tillman in the number ten role just behind the striker, while Ryan Kent will start once again on the left wing.

With news that Antonio Colak will yet again miss out, Alfredo Morelos will lead the line and will be hoping to get back to his goalscoring best, having already scored under the new manager against Hibs.

Another three points is all that matters, as Rangers aim to chase down Celtic in the chase for the Premiership title.
