Glasgow Rangers managed to snatch a 1-1 draw against Livingston at Ibrox in their Scottish Premiership clash today, with a lacklustre home side failing to break down their opponents.

After the woeful performance against Dundee in midweek, a home tie against Livingston was a chance for the club to put on a solid attacking display and score a few goals.

Unfortunately, it was just another eye-watering show that surely piles the pressure on Giovanni van Bronckhorst ahead of the Champions League tie against Napoli on Wednesday.

With 80% possession during the tie, Rangers managed 24 shots in total without scoring a winner. John Lundstram netted the equaliser in stoppage time, yet it was a player who has come under some criticism who displayed his attacking qualities today.

Kent impressed vs Livingston

Ryan Kent has clearly been uninterested this season, scoring just once in all competitions this term.

However, having been rested in midweek, there were high hopes he could provide a spark for his side this afternoon.

And so it proved, as his SofaScore match rating of 7.8 was the second highest on the team - behind only Lundstram - and he certainly looked threatening during the match.

The 25-year-old enjoyed 74 touches, ensuring he was on the ball as often as possible and trying to make things happen, while he also completed 90% of his passes.

He only delivered four accurate crosses, however, but seven key passes during the encounter were key to Rangers grabbing something from the match, as he made the assist for Lundstram’s goal during injury time.

It was clear Kent was in an attacking mood as he also created two big chances and with some luck, Antonio Colak may have scored from them and ensured the Gers secured all three points.

Having the Englishman back on form will be vital going forward as Van Bronckhorst attempts to bring Rangers out from this malaise they currently find themselves in.

An away tie against an impressive Napoli will not likely help matters, but a positive result and performance against the Serie A side could restore some much-needed confidence.
