A frustrating Rangers transfer claim has emerged regarding Ibrox gem Aaron Ramsey who Gio van Bronckhorst snapped up on loan in January...

What's the talk?

Gers journalist Chris Jack has provided an insight into how the fans are feeling about the Rangers midfielder's situation at the moment.

Since joining on a temporary basis in the January transfer window, Ramsey has only played two Premiership matches for van Bronckhorst - both coming off the substitutes' bench.

Jack told GIVEMESPORT: “I think there’s a bit of frustration now because they just want to see what he can do. They want to see what kind of impact he can have.”

Fuming

Van Bronckhorst will be fuming with this situation as well, as the Gers boss has been unable to call upon Ramsey as much as he would like.

The Welshman picked up 14 separate injury/illness issues in three years with Juventus after missing matches for Arsenal in 17 different spells during his time in the Premier League. This proves that he is an unreliable player in terms of being available for selection, and that the Gers had plenty of evidence to realise that his current situation was reasonably foreseeable at the time of his arrival at Ibrox.

Therefore, Ramsey's lack of availability should not be surprising, as his track record shows that it is one of his major flaws. He has only started one match for Rangers (in the Scottish Cup) and did not make the matchday squad against Motherwell at the weekend as he continues to recover from a knock.

Whilst it will not come as a shock to anyone, Van Bronckhorst - like Jack claims the fans to be - will be fuming with how little he has been able to call upon the 31-year-old. Ramsey has played more than 400 times for Arsenal and Juventus combined and produced 142 direct goal contributions, which suggests that he has the ability to make a big impact when he is fit.

The Dutch head coach will be eager to have a player of such quality fit and firing, as the Wales international could be crucial to the Gers' chances of securing the Premiership title, which seems particularly relevant after back-to-back draws in the league.

Whilst Van Bronckhorst and the supporters will be fuming and frustrated with the situation at present, Ramsey still has plenty of time to prove that Ross Wilson pulled off a masterclass by bringing him in last month...
