Rangers are back in action on Sunday with a quarter-final clash in the Scottish Cup after securing a 3-0 victory at Ibrox in the first leg of their round of 16 match in the Europa League on Thursday night.

On the chalkboard

In terms of which players Gers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst could select in his starting XI on Sunday, Aaron Ramsey was involved in the squad in midweek but didn't manage to get on the pitch.

However, we feel that the 31-year-old should be in from the beginning to take on Dundee tomorrow.

Since arriving on loan at Ibrox in January from Italian giants Juventus until the end of the season, the Welshman has only made four appearances for the Gers, twice in the Premiership and once each in the Europa League and Scottish Cup, having struggled with injuries.

Throughout his extensive career, the former Arsenal star has been all too familiar with the medical staff at most of his clubs, but this doesn't make his current injury situation at his latest club any less frustrating.

Now that the 31-year-old was declared fit enough to make the bench in midweek despite not coming on at any point, this would presumably put him in the frame to play some part in tomorrow's clash at Dens Park.

Having been described as "a leader, a quality player and a wonderful character" by Ross Wilson in January, Ramsey could finally kickstart his career at Ibrox if he's able to get a significant amount of minutes under his belt against Dundee and then stay fit enough for the remainder of the season to be a consistent squad option for Van Bronckhorst.

Even though it's still relatively early in his spell at Ibrox, time is counting down on the midfielder's loan spell at the club, which means that everyone connected with the Gers will be hoping to see as much of him as possible on the pitch rather than on the sidelines.

With that in mind, getting the £4.5m-rated Welshman on the pitch at some point should definitely be prominent in Van Bronckhorst's thinking.
