Rangers have scored more than 60 SPFL goals in every league campaign they've had since the 2017/18 season.

One figure in their squad that has contributed a lot to the club's goalscoring efforts in those previous years is Alfredo Morelos.

Signed from HJK Helsinki back in the 2017 summer transfer window, the striker has scored 113 goals in 224 appearances across all competitions.

The 26-year-old, once again, highlighted his importance to the team last season by finding the net 19 times in 42 matches.

Now, with the summer transfer window open, this could give Ross Wilson the chance to bring a player in that can take Rangers to the next level in an attacking sense to make sure they secure the SPFL title once again.

One player that the Gers have been linked with recently that could fit this bill and give Giovanni van Bronckhorst the chance to create a scary attacking duo with Morelos is Thijs Dallinga.

After scoring 22 goals in 45 youth appearances for FC Groningen, the 21-year-old joined his current club, Excelsior Rotterdam, last summer.

It's safe to say that the youngster enjoyed a rather successful debut season as he scored 36 goals in 44 appearances as well as supplied nine assists for his teammates.

Unsurprisingly, no other player at Excelsior managed to rack up as many shots at goal (77), or shots on target (47) than the striker.

This sort of attacking talent shows why he has been linked with a move to Ibrox and why he could be a good fit in the team next to Morelos, who has lots of experience when it comes to scoring goals.

It also backs up why he has been described as "unstoppable" by NXGN's official Twitter page, as well as being called a "fox in the box" by football talent scout Jacek Kulig.

Taking all of this into account, securing a deal that would see the Dutchman make a move to Ibrox this summer should be at the top of Wilson's priority list for the summer.

Should the Gers be successful in their attempts to sign Dallinga, having him in the same team as Morelos firing in goals would give Van Bronckhorst's side a great chance of taking the SPFL title away from Celtic next season.
