Rangers face a tough trip to the Czech Republic on Thursday as they prepare to face Slavia Prague in the Europa League, with Steven Gerrard's side looking to earn a positive result ahead of the return tie at Ibrox.

Jindřich Trpišovský's side showed that they are no pushovers as they progressed past Leicester City in the previous round, whilst Gerrard's men played out two superb games against Royal Antwerp, progressing 9-5 on aggregate.

The Gers secured their 55th league title at the weekend thanks to a 3-0 win against St Mirren, coupled with their Old Firm rivals Celtic failing to win against Dundee United, but Gerrard will have his players fully focused as he aims to continue their impressive run of form in the Europa League.

However, with a trip to Celtic Park on Sunday to come, the former Liverpool legend may have one eye on that fixture, with an unbeaten league season still on the cards for his side.

Here's how Football FanCast expects Gerrard to line his side up against Slavia, with three changes from the side that started against St Mirren...

There's one change in defence, as after starting successive games against Livingston and St Mirren, Nathan Patterson is given a rest, with the more experienced Leon Balogun replacing him at right-back.

Unsurprisingly, the rest of the defence stays the same, as Filip Helander, Connor Goldson and Borna Barisic have all been superb this season, whilst the game will come too soon for the injured James Tavernier.

Scott Arfield comes in for Steven Davis in midfield in a like-for-like change, and he is joined by the influential duo Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo.

Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi both deserve to start after their goals against St Mirren, but Gerrard may well be tempted to bench Alfredo Morelos ahead of the weekend, with Cedric Itten earning a rare start in his place.

And, in other news... No time for niceties: Wilson should axe £7.5k-p/w flop; he's simply not good enough
