Glasgow Rangers ran out 2-1 winners in the Premiership at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon as Michael Beale's side were able to beat Ross County.

Malik Tillman and Borna Barisic scored either side of an equaliser from Jordan White to make it nine wins from ten matches in the Scottish top-flight under the English manager.

After the win, Beale revealed that he would be interested in keeping hold of Tillman beyond his initial spell on loan from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The head coach said: "Malik is a no-brainer for me. I would like Malik to be here for a number of years.

"I think he is an excellent young player and he's enjoying his football here. Again, that's for the people above me to organise."

The Light Blues have an option to turn his loan into a permanent deal in the summer transfer window, although Bayern also have a buy-back clause to snap him up if they decide that he can improve their first-team squad.

Beale stated that it is not up to him to finalise the agreement to keep the attacker at Ibrox and sporting director Ross Wilson must now make a big decision on the youngster in the coming months.

The ex-Saints chief must trigger the option to sign Tillman on a permanent basis as the attacking midfielder has been in sublime form this season with the club potentially set to strike gold by continuing to develop him in the coming years.

Reporter Jonny McFarlane recently hailed the attacker on the Rangers Review YouTube channel, saying: "He's been absolutely superb under Michael Beale - another one who's just completely taken his game to another level."

The journalist added: "He's got those telescopic limbs; he's a big, tall, strong lad. And he's just got the ability to nick the ball away and act as a kind of brick wall. No one's running past him, no one's running around him because he's as strong as an ox."

Since Beale joined the club, the American international has produced four goals and two assists in ten Premiership appearances - backing up McFarlane's claim.

The 20-year-old has plundered eight goals and five assists in 35 first-team appearances for Rangers in all competitions this season, which comes after he managed one goal and zero assists in seven outings for Bayern last term.

These statistics suggest that Tillman has already developed and improved his end product with more game time under his belt, something that indicates he has considerable scope to grow and is willing to learn and adapt - as shown by an upturn in form under Beale.

Therefore, the 6 foot 2 youngster could be a fantastic prospect for the future as the midfielder could continue to improve as he plays more and more at the top level, in Scotland and in Europe for Rangers, which could, in turn, increase his transfer value.

As a result, the Gers could well strike gold in many areas, first and foremost by getting years of service from the talented winger before making a great deal of cash from any sale further along the line.
