A recent report has claimed that Rangers' transfer business for the summer is far from over, with more signings likely to arrive at Ibrox ahead of next season.

What's the word?

According to Football Insider, Rangers are working on adding two more major signings to Steven Gerrard's side this summer, although a lot will depend on whether or not players leave Ibrox before the window shuts, and whether or not the Gers are able to progress into the Champions League group stages.

The report claims that whilst Alfredo Morelos is the likeliest player to leave, there's also plenty of interest in Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara, Borna Barisic and Connor Goldson, all of whom were key players in Gerrard's side last season as they won the Premiership title and impressed in the Europa League.

They also suggest that there is expected to be some serious movement with regards to potential outgoings in the next week, so it would not be a surprise to see more acquisitions to the squad, following on from the free signings of John Lundstram and Fashion Sakala.

Do Rangers need more signings?

At the moment, you could definitely argue that Rangers are well-stocked in the majority of positions and will be favourites to win the title again next season after achieving invincible status in the 2020/21 campaign.

However, if they want to give a good account of themselves in the Champions League, then upgrades may be required in certain positions summer, and we are yet to see Ross Wilson splash any cash in terms of transfer fees.

Should Morelos depart, Rangers should earn enough to bring at least one or two new players who can challenge the mainstays from last season for a regular spot.

Although it was a fractured team consisting of younger players, new signings and fringe players, Rangers did worryingly lose their pre-season opener against English League Two side Tranmere Rovers recently, so Gers fans will be delighted with the news that thier club are confident of securing a couple more signings in the near future.

And, in other news... Wilson should seal Rangers "coup" for "technically-gifted" gem
