Both Scott Sinclair and Marian Shved were absent from Thursday's 2-0 win over AIK, and the Celtic fans can't understand why they've been dropped.

The two wide-men sat out the Europa League play-off win over the Swedes as Neil Lennon preferred other options in his matchday squad. Despite their snub, the Celts managed to secure a two-goal advantage, thanks to second-half strikes from James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard.

Lennon opted for Forrest and Mikey Johnston in the starting XI, which is certainly understandable, but with Lewis Morgan and Jonny Hayes preferred on the bench to the missing duo.

The fact that Morgan and Hayes, two players yet to spark their Parkhead careers into life, were chosen ahead of Shved and Sinclair, has got the fans irate.

The greatest player ever to grace the Scottish Premiership is revealed in the video below...

Shved is an intriguing signing that the fans want to see more of after an encouraging cameo against Nomme Kalju. While Sinclair is a fan-favourite and consistent contributor to goals, with his record at Celtic Park speaking for itself.

Here's how the fans reacted to the duo being omitted from the AIK matchday squad:
