With just one game remaining for Celtic this season supporters are understandably in reflective mood.
An eighth league title in a row has been wrapped up after a difficult and dramatic season and the close season rush of players leaving and arriving is not far away.
One player at the forefront of many fans’ minds is defender Dedryck Boyata, who on Sunday was confirmed to be joining German Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin on a free transfer this summer.
The exit comes after a contract saga that at one point last year threatened to derail the Hoops’ season.
The Belgian international went on to impress throughout the 2018/19 campaign, though supporters aren’t exactly in a rush to thank him for his service, preferring to hold him responsible for refusing to play in a crucial European qualifier in August.
The stopper was booed on trophy day by a section of the support and it’s fair to say he’s not on plenty of fans’ Christmas card lists.
These supporters have taken to Twitter this week to share their thoughts on what he offered Celtic…
Was nothing more than a squad player for me,not worth the £17k a week he was on and should have been ejected after the AEK carry on.
We need a better quality player in his position if we want the 9 & 10.

No forgiveness for what he did

I had little to no confidence in him. He had his moments but overall not a great player. Never felt he had much love for the club either ?
