Lewis Morgan did not impress the fans in his 66 minutes on the pitch against Cluj, as the Bhoys drew 1-1 in their penultimate Champions League qualification tie.
Now that the dust has settled on the English transfer window, finally bringing the Kieran Tierney saga to an end, fans are reflecting on the clash with Cluj, and they’re not best pleased with Morgan.
A lovely left-footed James Forrest strike that clipped the inside of the post gave Neil Lennon’s men the draw and a crucial away goal, after falling behind in the 28th minute thanks to a crisp Mario Rondon finish.
Morgan though, who was deputising for Mikey Johnston with the youngster out injured, was lucky not to be hooked even earlier by Neil Lennon, earning just a six out of ten from fan site 67 Hail Hail, who said: “He failed to ever find the right pass or cross.”
It was a real opportunity for the 22-year-old with Lennon preferring him over the more experienced Scott Sinclair. Yet, given the supporters’ comments, it doesn’t sound like he took his chance.
Take a look at some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

His end product is lacking Rab! It was the same last season at Sunderland. He needs to somehow recapture his St Mirren form but can’t help thinking he needs to step up significantly as he’s at a higher standard now..

Horrendous example of how to defend away in Europe this from Celtic . Lewis Morgan is an astonishing decision. Get him loaned out or sold .

The Lewis Morgan experiment is over, he is simply not good enough to play for us and never will be.. the fact he’s playing over Sinclair is absolutely wild.

Yeah Morgan not good enough along with Hayes and looks like they are trying to push Sinclair out the door…whispers of a winger in the pipeline.

Lewis Morgan will never be anything more than a squad player for Celtic and that’s facts

Lewis Morgan just is not good enough for this club.

Lewis Morgan is nowhere near ready to be a starting player. Needs a loan move where he’ll play 90 mins every week at a decent level. Hatem is a bumper. Much more aggresive under Lennon. Looking positive ??
