Neil Lennon has shifted the blame for Celtic’s Champions League exit away from his team selection, and the Hoops supporters are furious.
Just as people might’ve been calming down however, Lennon has put his foot in it and failed to take responsibility for the crushing defeat.
?️ NL: "I understand that people talk about the team selection. I don’t think that had any bearing on the game. We were rampant at 2-1 and then we gave Cluj oxygen in the game.”

The Celts manager has done himself no favours by failing to lay some blame on Tuesday’s team selection. One real bone of contention was playing star midfielder Callum McGregor at left-back, a move that didn’t go down well with the fans and failed on the night.
C’mon the Hoops throwback to one of the greatest Celtic goalkeepers of all time in the video below…
Another issue the fans have with Lennon’s line-up is the talent on the bench. New signings Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo and Christopher Jullien were stuck waiting in reserve as they watched their new side concede four goals in a crucial tie on home turf.
Here’s how the fans reacted on Twitter to Lennon’s abdication of responsibility…
Well Neil, I’m sorry to say CalMac at Left-Back was an appalling decision. Your decision not to replace Broony when we lead was a poor decision as he was way off the pace. Bringing on Lewis Morgan for Mickey Johnson when we should have strengthened the back line was another error

Absolutely ridiculous statement to make

A proper manager would have made the proper tactical change at 3-2 after what we all witnessed at 2-1.

This answer is why questions remain about his tactics

Looks like Neil is not taking any responsibility for the defeat

You didn’t trust the new left-back so you played our best midfielder there because he has a left foot. What’s next; rush keepers?

Dont know whats more worrying, the team selection or the fact he thinks he was right in selecting that team in the first place.

Playing McGregor at LB when the whole world knows he can’t play there n dropping your £3m LB to the bench in such a big game was amateur stuff! If you want to do that do it in a game like the morn against Dunfermline…….
No in a Champions League tie that’s locked at 1-1???♂️

Why did you play a CM at LB and why didn’t you play our new £7m CB????!!!!
