The Spanish giants, who have fallen well short of their previous glory in recent seasons, finished third in a difficult Champions League group behind Juventus and Manchester United, and are now undoubtedly one of the tougher teams in the Europa League.
Marcelino’s side are actually performing better than their league position (14th) suggests, and Rodgers could come up short against the Spanish outfit if he doesn’t improve the squad in January.
