Loads of Celtic fans have been reacting to some comments from John Hartson, as the legendary striker has tipped Neil Lennon for the permanent job at Parkhead.
Celtic are set to be crowned Scottish champions for the eighth consecutive season, and the Bhoys could yet accomplish a historic “treble treble” as well.
They will face Aberdeen in the Scottish cup semi-finals before a final against either Hearts or Inverness, having already beaten the Dons for a League Cup success in December.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below…
Of course, it hasn’t all been plain sailing since Lennon’s arrival as interim boss though, as the Bhoys were moments away from recording their second consecutive dull draw until Odsonne Edouard scored a late winner at Dundee.
The Bhoys have not played anywhere near the expressive, exciting football that they often did under Brendan Rodgers, yet Hartson thinks Lennon should get the permanent role.
“I have said all along that I think he is the man for the job on a permanent basis and I still hold on to that,” the 43 year-old told The Evening Times.
“The way that he celebrated with the Celtic support on Sunday after that last gasp winner at Dens Park would tell you everything you need to know about how hard he will work to keep the success coming at the club.”
Hartson may have a point about Lennon’s passion for the club, but fans want more than that- they want an experienced tactician who can guide them to more than just domestic dominance.
You can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below, where hardly a single fan agrees with Hartson…

Nope sorry big man but he’s not , best man for job till end of season , that’s a given but to move forward we need to do just that , not backwards

John I love you but are you on a commission for this?
Lenny is going backwards.
Martinez or Rose for me.

Only in the short term I’m afraid John. We need to move forward, not back. I don’t think Peter Lawwell nor Dermott Desmond have him as our next full-time boss.

Apologies John, this is absolutely nonsense! Neil Lennon shouldn’t be anywhere near Celtic Park and certainly shouldn’t get the job permanently! He left for a reason the last time and his football then and now is eye bleeding! Celtic fans deserve a manager better than him! #cheap

The only man? Really
Broaden your horizon a bit big man, Lennon may very well become best candidate for the job longterm but I’ll be amazed if there isn’t candidates interested that are nearer Rodgers’ levels of coaching ability, improvement in many players wasn’t a coincidence.

Lenny would be a step back I think, only the Rangers go running back to old players & managers. I think we need to go down the European coach route to continue our development and improve in Europe

No he’s not. He should be well down the list of permanent replacements

I’d seriously consider approaching Rafa ??♂️he’s out of contract in the summer

Bit naive to think he’s the only man..got to at least look into what options could be out there for us
