Celtic are used to dominating the Scottish Premiership, but in this early stage of the season Brendan Rodgers's side have some catching up to do.

On Saturday, the team came away with a 1-0 win over Aberdeen, which has left the club fifth in the standings, six points adrift of leaders Hearts.

Picking up three points was hugely important for the Bhoys given that they had lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock in their last league outing.

However, the victory over Aberdeen did not end without controversy as Odsonne Edouard was denied a penalty.

Celtic had a strong case as Scott McKenna lunged in, resulting in the Frenchman needing treatment, but referee Bobby Madden was not convinced that it was a foul.

After the match, plenty of fans on Twitter hit out at the match officials, with some accusing them of a conspiracy against the club.

In the end, Scott Sinclair's 63rd-minute hit was enough to give Celtic all three points on the day.
