The Scotland international has been heavily linked with a move to the English Premier League and Everton in particular in recent days despite signing a new six-year deal last October, with a fee of £25m mooted.

The Celtic Park faithful understandably wouldn't want to lose one of their own who has become such an important player for them over the course of the last couple of years, and he showed his threat in the final third against Sparta by twice going close to scoring in the opening quarter-of-an-hour.

Some Celtic supporters, others of whom have decided on the players they want Brendan Rodgers to sign this summer, have had their say on Tierney's future via social media during and after his latest display, and while one said "if you sell Tierney I want my season ticket money back", another said "don't let this man ever go".
