Christopher Jullien was on the scoresheet as Celtic recorded a 2-1 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

The defender opened the scoring in the seventh minute, before Odsonne Edouard netted in the second period to help Neil Lennon's side secure the victory.

And a whole host of Celtic fans took to social media to lavish praise on the 26-year-old for his contribution to what was a very important win.

Meanwhile, a number of other supporters referenced a certain Virgil van Dijk when discussing Jullien, with the now Liverpool centre-back turning out for the Scottish giants between 2013 and 2015.

It would be some story if Jullien went on to follow van Dijk, who finished second in the recent Ballon d'Or rankings after enjoying an excellent 2019 - helping Liverpool win the Champions League, in addition to playing a key role in the Netherlands reaching the final of the inaugural UEFA Nations League.

For now, though, the Hoops ace will be focused on winning silverware for his current club, who he joined from Toulouse in a £7m deal during the summer transfer window.
