Celtic fans are not enjoying reports that Leicester City and other clubs are interested in signing Callum McGregor this summer.
The Scotsman reported on Friday that three English Premier League sides were interested in bringing the player down south ahead of the new season, with his valuation said to be around £10m.
McGregor is arguably Celtic’s most important player at the moment, a constant ball carrier who has the pace and creativity to cause opposition defences problems.
How can Celtic improve next season? A Hoops fan tells us how in the video below…
Selling him would be a bitter blow to Celtic’s trophy ambitions next season given he is so integral to how the team play and a massive amount of money would have to be spent to replace his contributions.
He is the beating heart of the Hoops’ ‘treble treble’ success and supporters are understandably upset at the thought of him leaving, especially to former manager Brendan Rodgers.
These fans have taken to Twitter over the last 24 hours to share their thoughts on it all…
£10m for Callum McGregor is a monumental insult to Celtic.
If he was ever to leave, the bidding should start at £20m.
Huge cheek from Brendan Rodgers and Leicester.

Broony's replacement is already at @CelticFC We must build our future around Callum McGregor. To sell him would be mindbogglingly stupid and even though it's paper talk, EPL clubs need to be made aware he is not for sale. HH pic.twitter.com/XmRE1rxovx

100% agree calmac is a straight replacement for broony . This wee guy has it all and Celtic would be crazy to even dream about letting him go I honestly .. should he ask to leave is a different story then I wouldn’t accept anything less than 30 mill for him

Under no circumstances can anyone be allowed to leave until 10 is sorted one way sorry or other, but unfortunately cash talks and lawwell loves cash ?✌?

Signing Turnbull & letting Callum McGregor go south (as suggested in the Scotsman today) would show a huge lack of judgment. He surely is the natural successor to Broonie & along with Forrest was one of our 2 best players last season.

£10mil for Callum McGregor is ridiculous. Come back with the other 2/3 of the fee @LCFC

Genuinely wouldn't take £25m for Callum McGregor. What's the point of selling him? About to go into his prime and the money wont go on a big replacement so we should keep him. £10m offer is laughable as folk are moving from league 1 for that type of money down south now

Doesn’t matter if it’s Leicester, Barcelona or East Fife that are interested in Callum McGregor, Kieran Tierney and Odsonne Edouard, they should not be for sale at any price. All three are crucial for the push for 9 and 10 in a row. ?? pic.twitter.com/1rdan0s7gt
