Celtic teenager Ewan Henderson got an opportunity to impress during Saturday's friendly against French Cup winners Rennes and delighted fans with his performance.

The Hoops hosted the Ligue 1 side as part of their preparations for the new season, sandwiched in between a two-leg UEFA Champions League qualifying encounter against FK Sarajevo.

As a result, it was an opportunity for Neil Lennon to build the fitness of some of his fringe players as well as give some new signings a run out.

Christopher Jullien made his Celtic Park bow, with midfielder Luca Connell also pulling on the green and white hoops for the first time.

However it was homegrown prospect Henderson who stole the show with a classy attacking midfield performance, getting a good 77 minutes of action under his belt in the 0-0 draw.

The Scotland youth international made his competitive debut for the club last season, making five appearances in total and assisting three times.

Supporters are excited about his future and after getting another glimpse of him this weekend took to Twitter to share their thoughts...
