Celtic fans on Twitter were buzzing after their 1-0 win over Rangers in the first Old Firm derby of the season, with matchwinner Olivier Ntcham receiving huge praise from the Parkhead faithful.

The Bhoys peppered the Rangers goal throughout the game, hitting the crossbar three times and forcing 36-year-old keeper Allan McGregor to make a number of smart stops before Ntcham eventually finished off a sweeping counter attack to put Celtic ahead just after the hour mark.

The French central midfielder ran almost the length of the pitch to latch onto James Forrest's square pass and put the ball into the empty net for what would eventually be the winning goal in Rangers boss Steven Gerrard's first Glasgow derby.

5ft 11in tall Ntcham joined Celtic from Manchester City in the summer of 2017 and has made 12 appearances so far this season for Brendan Rodgers' side, scoring an impressive four goals and providing one assist from central-midfield.

The 22-year-old's goal and overall performance certainly excited Celtic fans on the weekend. Check out some of the best tweets below.
