Defender Christopher Jullien has been unveiled as Celtic's first signing of the summer transfer window and fans are delighted.

Jullien arrives from Toulouse for a reported fee of around £7m, making him one of the most expensive signings in the club's history.

With the club badly needing defensive reinforcements after the departures of Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic, it appears to be a very good bit of business indeed.

Leigh Griffiths is ready and raring to go for Celtic next season. One fan discusses what we can expect from him in the video below...

The 6ft 5in stopper has played regularly in Ligue 1 and at 26 years of age is entering his prime years as a footballer.

He'll likely compete for first-team places from the off, partnering either Kristoffer Ajer or Jozo Simunovic in the heart of the Hoops' defence.

With European qualifiers on the immediate horizon, he doesn't have much time to settle in before competitive action starts this summer.

Celtic fans have been left overjoyed by the signing, taking to Twitter on Friday to share their thoughts on it all...
