Celtic fans react as Boyata breaks his silence

Loads of Celtic fans have been reacting to some comments from Dedryck Boyata, as the Belgian defender had his say on his attempts to force a move away from the club.

Celtic have had an underwhelming start to the season, as some great results have been sullied by some really poor moments.

The Bhoys lost multiple first team players this summer, and if truth be told they didn’t do nearly enough in the transfer market to fix it.

One of the biggest problem areas has been in the heart of defence, where Boyata has proved crucial in recent weeks.

The Belgian international reportedly refused to play for the club during their Champions League qualifying run, which eventually ended in heartbreak at the hands of AEK Athens.

The 27 year-old has now finally broken his silence on the ordeal, claiming he is fully committed to the club this season.

“Right now, I’m in a position where I’m not supposed to say anything about what happened in the past but I’m fully committed to the team,” he told Sky Sports.

“I just want to give as much as I can whenever I’m on the pitch. I’m a Celtic player and I’m very happy to be a Celtic player.

“Whatever happens next, happens next. I am looking forward to getting back to where we were in the last three seasons.”

While his performances in recent weeks have certainly gone some way to putting him back in fans’ good books, some just can’t forgive his previous decisions, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
