Christopher Jullien impressed the Parkhead faithful in Celtic's pivotal 2-0 win over AIK on Thursday.

Neil Lennon's men gave themselves a big advantage ahead of the return leg in Sweden next week thanks to two second-half goals. Strikes from James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard gave the Celts the win, but it was the performance of Jullien that really caught the eye of the fans.

Signed from Toulouse for £7m, the centre-back had struggled to make an impression at Parkhead before the play-off tie, but he performed very well in what was a patched-together back four.

Lennon admitted ahead of the crunch tie that he had as many as three defensive concerns. Hatem Abd Elhamed missed out, but Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer were passed fit and played either side of the Frenchman as they kept an encouraging clean sheet.

Jullien's display is very timely, as the fans are fuming with their club's transfer business. The 26-year-old's role in the 2-0 win has given the fans hope that he can justify his massive pricetag and become a consistent member of the Hoops backline.

Here's what they had to say on Twitter about their new signing:
