James Forrest is a target for Zenit St. Petersburg, according to The Scottish Sun, and the Parkhead faithful are far from pleased.

The 28-year-old is wanted by the Russian side even after they splashed out £36.5m to sign wide-man Malcolm from Barcelona.

The report also details that Zenit would be prepared to give the Celts star £70,000 per-week to tempt him away from Glasgow.

The fee mentioned in the report is £12m, which seems low given how good the winger has been for the club of late.

Not only has the wide-man scored some huge goals already this season, particularly against Cluj and Motherwell, but he was a key performer last campaign.

He was pivotal for both Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon in his 56 appearances last season, scoring 18 and setting up an incredible 20 more.

His importance to the side hasn't gone unnoticed amongst the Celtic faithful, and here's what they had to say on Twitter about the interest in their winger...
