Loads of Celtic fans have been reacting to Tuesday’s big contract news, as Mikey Johnston has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
After a somewhat rocky start to the season, the Bhoys have been flying both on and off the pitch in recent weeks.
Before the draw at Livingston, Brendan Rodgers’ side had won four on the bounce in all competitions, scoring 15 times in those four games.
After a disappointing summer transfer window, the club have made plenty of moves behind the scenes to make up for it, extending the contracts of several key players.
Olivier Ntcham’s new deal was perhaps the most welcomed due to the constant links with moves away from the club, and now Johnston has joined the likes of Ntcham and Ryan Christie with a new deal of his own.
The 19 year-old winger, who has made eight Premiership appearances for the club, has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2023.
Rodgers clearly has high hopes for the youngster, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
That’s a massive vote of confidence from both parties. A very exciting talent & has the club in his heart…we once had a very successful young team of like minded young men. If this new generation roar even half as loudly, then we have some incredible adventures ahead of us. #HH
