Celtic are back in Europa League action later this week when they welcome FC Copenhagen to Glasgow on Thursday evening with everything still to play for after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
The mood around the camp has been rather positive after the Bhoys clinched a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon, meaning they now sit 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership and seem well on course for a ninth successive title.
And it has only got better after assistant manager John Kennedy’s latest comments on loan ace Fraser Forster.
🗣 John Kennedy on Fraser Forster:
“If there is a deal to be done, the club can produce something and a deal between Southampton and Fraser is possible, then I’m pretty sure we would try to do it. If Fraser became available we would want him.” pic.twitter.com/esiPHsZGWn

He suggests that the club would be very interested in making his tempory spell permanent just as long as the player is available and there is a deal to be done.
Here’s what fans have been saying in response…
Make it happen. Will be worth every penny. https://t.co/eVVDawuD0f

Has to be top of the list. Been exceptional from day 1. Makes all the difference in big games.

I have it on good authority that
He wants to be here
He thinks this is where he can rediscover good form
He wants to perform BUT stay here He isn’t chasing the £s coz he was overwhelmed down south and made bad life choices whilst there
This is where he’s happy and wanted pic.twitter.com/JreauScbJv

Get it done

Make it happen Celtic!

Sign him asap

It’s clear to see that the majority of supporters at Celtic Park want the deal to happen – “sign him ASAP” and “get it done” were just two shouts from the stands.
One fan called the decision a “no-brainer” whilst another believes the 6 foot 7 shot-stopper should be the number one priority this summer as he makes the difference in big games.
The 31-year-old has played 35 times in all competitions for the Hoops, recording 15 clean sheets in the process, per Transfermarkt.
His influence in the side has been that vital that other members of the Celtic faithful were pleading the club to pay anything in order to secure him long-term.

Pay big money for a goal scorer (eddy) and big money for a goal saver…. it’s common sense…. surely the board are seeing the benefit of going up a level market with the like of eddy and jullien

fee wont be a problem, wages might but big fraser doesnt seem the greedy type amd history beckons

One supporter claimed there was “no excuses” for not making it happen while another pleaded to “break the bank” for him.
And in other news, Celtic fans want Karamoko Dembele in the first team…
