Celtic are back in Europa League action later this week when they welcome FC Copenhagen to Glasgow on Thursday evening with everything still to play for after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

The mood around the camp has been rather positive after the Bhoys clinched a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon, meaning they now sit 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership and seem well on course for a ninth successive title.

And it has only got better after assistant manager John Kennedy's latest comments on loan ace Fraser Forster.

He suggests that the club would be very interested in making his tempory spell permanent just as long as the player is available and there is a deal to be done.

Here's what fans have been saying in response...

It's clear to see that the majority of supporters at Celtic Park want the deal to happen - "sign him ASAP" and "get it done" were just two shouts from the stands.

One fan called the decision a "no-brainer" whilst another believes the 6 foot 7 shot-stopper should be the number one priority this summer as he makes the difference in big games.

The 31-year-old has played 35 times in all competitions for the Hoops, recording 15 clean sheets in the process, per Transfermarkt.

His influence in the side has been that vital that other members of the Celtic faithful were pleading the club to pay anything in order to secure him long-term.

One supporter claimed there was "no excuses" for not making it happen while another pleaded to "break the bank" for him.

It remains to be seen what sort of fee he would command from parent club Southampton where he is under contract until the summer of 2022, but Transfermarkt currently values him at £7.2m.
