Odsonne Edouard was on the scoresheet as Celtic recorded a 2-0 win over Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

Neil Lennon's side entered the match in second spot in the table after Rangers beat Motherwell earlier in the afternoon.

However, first position was reclaimed by the Hoops as they scored two unanswered goals to pick up their 14th league victory of the 2019/20 campaign.

And many of the club's supporters were keen to pay tribute to Edouard, who found the back of the net in the 66th minute after setting up Jeremie Frimpong for the game's first goal.

Edouard, who had been absent in recent weeks due to a knee injury, has now scored 14 times and registered 13 assists in 27 appearances at club level during the 2019/20 campaign, including 10 goals in the league.

In all, the 21-year-old has managed 47 goals in 108 appearances for his current side in all competitions, and some of the Celtic supporters believe that Edouard is the finest striker - or indeed player - in Scottish football.

Meanwhile, a number of the Celtic fans are keen for their side to secure a deal for this player in either January or at the end of the season.
